OPT Employment Update
All students on OPT must report their place of employment within 90 days from the start date of their Employment Authorization Card/OPT to the Center for Global Engagement to remain with legal status in the U.S.
If you are not employed within the first 90 days from the start of your OPT, you will fall out of status and will no longer be able to remain in the U.S.
Students who are able to find unpaid "volunteer" opportunities within these 90 days are also within the regulations and should also report their place of employment with the Center for Global Engagement.
