Immigration
To request a NEW I-20 or DS-2019 or TRANSFER YOUR I-20 or DS-2019 FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSITY:Log into the DuqGlobal International Student Portal
- Submit your Proof of Financial Support
- Pay your SEVIS fee (I-901 fee)
- You must pay a SEVIS fee of $350 (F-1 visa) or $220 (J-1 visa) at www.fmjfee.com with a valid credit card. Print a receipt to present at your visa interview later in the process.

- Apply for your F-1 or J-1 visa
- You must complete an online visa application and pay a fee as determined by your local US embassy or consulate. Next, make an appointment with the US embassy or consulate in your area for a visa interview.

- Select on-campus or off-campus housing
- ON-CAMPUS: Complete the online housing survey on DORI. Contact the Office of Residence Life for housing questions.
- OFF-CAMPUS: Explore options for rentals and homestays.

- Upload required documents to the Health Service Student Portal.

Travel
- Consider your date of arrival to Pittsburgh
- Plan to arrive no later than the day before your mandatory international student orientation.
- If you plan to live on campus, email intladmissions@duq.edu to inquire about move-in dates for your first semester.
- If you need hotel accommodations during orientation, there are several hotels within walking distance of Duquesne.
